Instructs an effective mechanism for provision of basic food items to common man
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has issued directives for measures for upcoming flood and rains and security measures for Muharram-ul-Haram.
Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz chaired a special session, reviewed the overall performance of administration on Eidul Azha across the province.
CM lauded the performance of deputy commissioners and their teams. On the occasion, she commended the administrative duties of her team and directed to provincial administration that public service must be continue with the same spirit.
Commended the duties of provincial administration
ACs, DCs and commissioners must dedicate their day in a week for public service, she insisted.
She directed the administration to visit hospitals and schools and report on the building, electricity wiring and other matters. She also stressed for a permanent control room for monitoring in every district.
CM also lauded the performance of information minister Azma Bukhari, provincial minister for local government Zeeshan Rafiq, incharge CM complaint cell Shoaib Mirza, and special assistant Zeeshan Malik.
She affirmed media, public representatives and public hailed the Punjab government’s measures for Eidul Azha.
Muhammad Nawaz Sharif personally reviewed the administrative matters and appreciated Punjab government as well as PM Shehbaz Sharif’s appreciation was an honour for her government.
Standard of cleanliness must be maintained
CM said the standard of cleanliness like Eidul Azha must be maintained across the province. The cleanliness measures in cities, towns and villages were outstanding, not only animals waste on Eidul Azha was removed instead roads were washed and sprayed with rose water.
She also appreciated the DCs and teams for reducing buses fares.
She also instructed to make an effective mechanism for provision of basic food items to common man.
She said, a chief minister of another province also wanted bureaucracy and administration of his province to follow the footsteps of Punjab.
CM is accountable to public
Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz directed the provincial administration to devise effective measure for Muharram, expected flood and rains across the province.
She was accountable before Allah and public for public rights, “public interest and facilitation is the first priority”, she highlighted.
Punjab minister for information Azma Bukhari, provincial minister for local government Zeeshan Rafiq, special assistant Zeeshan Malik, MPA Sania Ashiq, chief secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, principal secretary Sajid Zafar Dhal, additional IG, secretaries, and others attended the session.
