Chemical factory catches fire in Lahore

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A chemical factory located on Ring Road in Karol Ghati area of Lahore caught fire on late Tuesday night, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the fire erupted in the chemical factory built on six kanal at 10pm, which spread and engulfed the entire factory very quickly due to chemicals.
Explosions were also heard when chemical drums stored in the factory exploded due to fire, spreading panic among the residents of the area.
Fire tenders across the city were called in to control the blaze but the fire spread rapidly. The cause of fire is not known yet.
According to rescue sources, no casualty was reported in the incident.
Fire fighters are facing problems in operation to douse the blaze as water bowsers could not be driven close to the place due to narrow streets. The fire could not be brought under control till filing of this report.
