ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday suspended the sentence awarded to the PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi in the Toshakhana case.

A two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court conducted hearing of the case. IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq said appeal against the sentence would be fixed for hearing after Eidul Fitr.

It may be recalled that the PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi were awarded 14-year rigorous imprisonment in the Toshakhana case.

Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir, while announcing the decision in the Toshakhana reference in Adiala jail, had disqualified both for any public office for 10 years.
