SIC to approach ECP for reserve seats

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) has decided to approach Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for securing reserve seats.
The SIC is likely to submit a written request to the commission today (Wednesday).
SIC chief Hamid Raza will submit the request to the commission.
The final draft of the application has been prepared by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and the SIC lawyers after mutual consultation.
Almost all the independent candidates have joined the council.
Earlier on Wednesday, the time for submission of tax returns for reserved seats for women and minorities ended.
Pakistan Muslim League-N, Pakistan People's Party parliamentarians and other parties submitted statements except for the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), PTI backed independents.
The Election Commission of Pakistan will allot seats to women and minorities after the new party position becomes clear after the election results are declared.
