PML-N names candidates from Balochistan with a hope of strong show

The party has launched candidates for all National Assembly seats
LAHORE (Web Desk) – The PML-N has shared the names of party candidates for national and provincial assemblies from Balochistan as it eyes a strong showing in the province and is confident of forming government in the largest but least populated federating unit of Pakistan.
The announcement was made by Senator Ishaq Dar, who is also the PML-N Election Cell in-charge, through a post on X, formerly known as X. “Prayers and best of luck for the upcoming General Elections 2024,” he said.

Interestingly, Balochistan was the first, and also the last till now, province which former prime minister Nawaz has visited so far since his return to the country in October last year, as he is ready to compete in the race to win the popular mandate for a record fourth term in office.

The lists show that the PML-N has fielded candidates for all the 16 National Assembly seats allocated to Balochistan. However, there may be withdrawal of candidatures in some cases given the ongoing seat adjustment talks Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and others before February 8 general elections.
Sardar Yaqoob Nasir NA-252, Mir Dostain Khan Domki NA-253, Mir Muhammad Khan Jamali NA-255, Jaam Kamal Khan NA-257, Aslam Bulaidi NA-258, Yaqoob Bezenjo NA-259, Sardar Fateh Muhammad Hasani NA-260 and Jamal Shah Kakar NA-263 are the prominent names included in the list.
As far as the Balochistan Assembly is concerned, senior party leader Jamal Khan Mandokhel is vying for PB-2, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran PB-4, Mir Dostain Khan Domki PB-8, Nawaz Jangayz Marri PB-9, Mir Muhammad Asim Kurd PB-12, Jaam Kamal Khan PB-21 and PB-22 and Mir Shoaib Nausherwani PB-33.
