QUETTA (APP) - Balochistan caretaker Minister for Information Jan Achakzai said on Wednesday that Pakistan will deport all illegal Afghan immigrants by November 1.

While talking to media here, the minister shared that over 1,000 Afghan families had left Pakistan so far, adding that around 250 families were returning to Afghanistan via the Chaman border every day.

The minister also said that the government had compiled complete data on where illegal immigrants were living in the province.

Achakzai said that refugees had been treated with hospitality for the last 40 years, and now they would be sent back to their country with dignity.

He added that no political pressure would be tolerated in that regard and illegal migrants would have to leave Pakistan.

The minister said the state had taken some principled decisions and they would strictly follow it, adding that after the deadline, the illegal residents would be sent back.

Achakzai said that the deadline for illegal Afghan refugees was the final deadline and the fingerprint registration of returnees would be done.

He said that foreign immigrants who had visas and the proof of registration card would not be deported. He said that 500,000 people had legal documents in Balochistan, while 300,000 people were living illegally.
