Rain turns weather pleasant in Lahore
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Rain has turned the weather pleasant and brought the mercury considerably down in Lahore.
Light-to-heavy rain hit parts of the provincial capital including Abbot Road, Davis Road, Lakshmi Chowk, Mall Raod, Shimla Hill, Data Darbar, Gulshan Ravi, Johar Town, Gulberg, Samanabad, Baghbanpura, Garhi Shahu and Burki.
The rain however caused water accumulation on various roads, disrupting traffic flow. It has also inundated low-lying areas in Lahore, and other areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, 10 mm of rain was recorded at the airport, 16mm at Gulberg, 28mm at Lakshmi Chowk, 8mm at the Upper Mall, 17mm at Tajpura,24mm at Paniwala Talab, 3mm at Farrukhabad, 13mm at Samnabad and 2mm at the Qartaba Chowk.
The electricity transmission system collapsed after the rain as over 300 feeders of Lesco tripped while many areas lost electricity due to other technical faults.

The weather also got pleasant in Faisalabad as the temperature dropped to a significant level after the rain.
