SIFC's apex committee meeting begins, top brass participates

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A special meeting of the apex committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is continuing in the federal capital with civil and military huddle participating in the gathering, Dunya News reported.

Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar will preside over the meeting of the SIFC apex committee. The meeting will be held at the Prime Minister's Office. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir will also attend the meeting.

The meeting, that will also be attended by top civil and military officials, will review investment measures and approve projects related to agriculture, minerals, mining, energy and IT.

According to sources, the chief ministers and chief secretaries of of the four provinces will also participate in the meeting. Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries are expected to invest $6 billion in corporate farming by 2028.
