Another case of girls' harassment surfaces in Karachi
KARACHI – Another incident of harassment targeting female students has surfaced in Karachi.
After a video which went viral on social media, showing a man on a motorcycle indecently exposing himself to female university students on Rashid Minhas Road, Sindh IG Riffat Mukhtar directed the relevant Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) to provide a comprehensive report on the matter.

The incident, which occurred on Sept 28, involved students from the University of Karachi. According to Central SSP Faisal Abdullah Chachar, the female students were travelling by bus when a suspect chased and harassed them near the UBL Sports Complex, located opposite Lucky One Mall, for approximately five minutes. The victims had not officially reported the case to the police.

Police took notice of the incident and efforts were underway to apprehend the suspect. In response to the victims' reluctance to report the case, the police decided to register a case against the suspect on behalf of the state.
This incident comes after a previous distressing video had gone viral on social media in July, depicting a man exposing himself and assaulting a woman in broad daylight in Gulistan-i-Jauhar.
