IHC orders PTI chairman be shifted to Adiala Jail and provided due facilities

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq on Monday ordered the authorities concerned to shift the PTI chairman from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail.
The court heard a petition submitted by the former prime minister’s lawyers demanding that he be shifted from the Attock to Adiala Jail.
The chief justice said the status of the PTI chairman's sentence had changed. As all the under-trial prisoners of Islamabad were in Adiala Jail, why the PTI chairman was still in Attock, the court asked.

The court asked Additional Attorney General Mansoor Iqbal Dogal that if the government sent the PTI chief to Rahim Yar Khan jail, will his trial start there?
The CJ ordered the authorities to shift the PTI chairman to Adiala Jail.

During the hearing, the lawyer requested the court that as the PTI chairman was a sportsman, an exercise machine be provided to him.
The CJ said that according to the prison rules, facilities should be given to him according to the entitlement and no right should be violated.
