Nawaz Sharif will lead election campaign: Rana Sanaullah
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Former interior minister Rana Sanaullah stated that Nawaz Sharif will lead the election campaign, emphasising that his appeals hold strong merit and there is sufficient ground that he would be relieved from 'fake cases'.
Talking to Dunya News programme "On the Front" , the PML-N Punjab president said that he believed that Nawaz Sharif was unjustly punished out of revenge, and predicted that he would obtain relief and be acquitted honourably.
Sanaullah also pointed out the similarities in the conditions described by the PTI chief in jail and his own experiences.
Sanaullah suggested that the PTI chief could benefit from his advice. He further mentioned that, according to his information, he was being provided with good food and adequate facilities in jail.
The ex-minister said that the PTI chairman laid the foundation that he would not talk to the opponents. He called everyone thieves, bandits and brought politics to this point. The PTI chairman should have absolute freedom of politics. We did not ask him to break the assemblies and attack the memorials of martyrs, he added.
