Sumaira Malik condemns 9/5 riots

BAHAWALPUR (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sumaira Malik on Tuesday decided to leave the embattled party.

In a video statement, she condemned the events that transpired on May 9, saying, "I condemn the attacks on military installations."

Sumaira, who held an important position during the tenure of former Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, said: "I have also decided to resign from the party posts and separate from PTI". 

Earlier, many bigwigs of the PTI, bid farewell to the party including Hamayun Akhtar, Tariq Mehmoodul Hasan, Fayyazul Hassan Chohan, Firdous Ashiq Awan, Fawad Chaudhry, Murad Raas among others.
