IPP drafts plan to provide motorbike riders half-price petrol
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) on Wednesday finalised its manifesto for the general elections.
The IPP's manifesto focused on transforming the Pakistani society into an Islamic society, enacting strong legislation regarding the finality of the Prophethood of Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), mainstreaming seminaries and implementing economic reforms.
The work commitment had also been reaffirmed. According to the IPP's manifesto, persons who own up to 12 acres of agricultural land will receive free electricity as part of the agricultural reforms, while the minimum monthly wage for labourers will be set at Rs50,000.
The citizens will be provided with up to 300 free electricity units, slum ownership rights.
In line with the manifesto, the IPP had drafted a plan to provide motorbike riders half-price petrol, while offering senior persons, women and students free access to air-conditioned public transportation.
In addition to guaranteeing the overseas Pakistanis the right to vote, the protection of their property, and access to justice in Pakistan.
The IPP made a commitment to Pakistan's freedom and independence in foreign policy.
The manifesto will include provisions for interest-free loans, jobs with favourable terms for youth and women, technical centres, new government medical and engineering universities, and international scholarship programmes.
The IPP's manifesto, which called for significant reforms in key sectors, had been adopted.
