LAHORE (Dunay News) - The Lahore High Court on Tuesday ordered the government to implement the notification for retired session judges on pension cases in Punjab, including the judicial allowance.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Shahid Karim announced the verdict.
The government lawyer opposed the implementation of the notification for retired judges on pension issues, stating that the court did not have the jurisdiction to issue such a notification.
The government lawyer stated that the approval of the assembly was necessary for such notifications.
Justice Shahid Karim questioned that the government did not challenge the notification, so now what alternative do they have other than implementing it?
