Countrywide demos held against Holy Quran’s desecration

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Protests and rallies were held in different cities of the country against the desecration of Holy Quran in Sweden and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council announced to go on strike.

In Khanpur, a protest was held at the Darkhawasti Chowk against the desecration of the Holy Quran. The Swedish flag was set on fire and the participants raised slogans against Swedish government.

A protest was held at Rafiq Shah Chowk held by Anjuman Tajran, Jamaat-e-Islami against the desecration of the Holy Quran in Bahawalnagar in which a large number of citizens participated.

The flag was also burnt and the protesters called the incident of desecration of the Holy Quran intolerable. They demanded ending the diplomatic relations with the Swedish government.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council announced to hold a strike tomorrow against the incident of desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden.
