Two soldiers martyred in Hoshab operation

Terrorists opened fire on the security forces in Balor area due to which two soldiers were martyred.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Two Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom and another suffered injuries on Sunday during a security patrol operation in the Balor area of Balochistan’s Hoshab district.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a combat patrol of security forces was initiated in general area Balor, based on credible intelligence with respect to move of a group of terrorists, linked with firing incidents on security forces and civilians besides planting of Improvised Explosive Devices in Hoshab area.
The military's media wing said that while the security forces were establishing blocking positions to cut off escape routes, the group of terrorists attempted to ambush the incoming patrol and opened fire on the security forces. As a result of heavy exchange of fire, Maj Saqib Hussain and Naik Baqir Ali embraced Shahadat while another soldier got injured, the ISPR statement said.
The statement said the security forces, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart such attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan.
Resultantly, the follow up operation to nab the perpetrators of attack continues in the area.

Earlier in the day, three terrorists were killed by security forces during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district, the military’s media wing in an statement on Sunday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain terrorists who were actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and the killing of five police personnel.
“Sanitisation of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area,” the ISPR said.
“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and these sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the military’s media wing concluded.
