PM Shehbaz vows to allay MQM-P concerns
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui on Thursday exchanged views on the country’s political situation.
The premier felicitated Siddiqui on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha over the phone. According to MQM-P spokesperson, both leaders also discussed future political strategy.
The discrepancies in the electoral rolls were disclosed to the premier by Siddiqui. Siddiqui was given the assurance by PM Shehbaz that the instructions will be given to the authorities to allay MQM-P concerns.
- Life of piety and cleanliness -
On Wednesday, PM Shehbaz said the Eidul Azha symbolised the spirit of sacrifice, equality and compassion.
In a tweet on Wednesday, the prime minister said it "fosters unity by reducing socio-economic inequalities and creates the feelings of empathy and complete surrender before Allah Almighty".
He said, "A true observance of the ritual demands of us to adopt a life of piety and cleanliness".

On the blessed occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, he extended greetings to Muslims in general and overseas Pakistanis in particular who are celebrating this festival today (Wednesday) in other parts of world.
