Policeman martyred in suicide blast in Turbat

TURBAT (Dunya News) – A policeman was martyred and two other including a lady constable were injured as a woman suicide bomber blew herself up on Saturday.
Deputy Commissioner Kech said the blast occurred on Commissioner Road near Ghora Chowk causing a damage to the security vehicle parked nearby.
Police shifted the injured to the hospital for treatment. They have launched an investigation into the incident as well. Bomb disposal squad cordoned off the area.
Condemnations
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo condemned the attack and expressed grief over the loss of policeman’s life.
He said terrorists wanted to sabotage development process in the province, adding that they would not succeed. “They cannot lower the morale of security forces,” he added.
“The sensible people of Makran will thwart the ambitions of elements who are against development,” he said, adding that the people’s welfare would be ensured and the backwardness of the province would be eliminated by continuing the process of development.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also condemned the attack. In a message, he sympathised with the families of the martyred policemen and condoled with them.
He directed Chief Minister Balochistan to give martyrs package to the families of martyred police personnel and make arrangements for the education of their children.
