Vice Admiral Asif Sandila has been promoted as Admiral and appointed as next Chief of Naval Staff.

Vice Admiral Asif Sandila has been appointed as new Chief of Naval Staff after getting promoted as Admiral.The new naval chief called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr and discussed with him the matters related to Pakistan Navy.This is worth mentioning here that sitting Navy chief Admiral Noman Bashir will retire on October 8.
