RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Three terrorists were killed and two soldiers martyred during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in in Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday morning, according to the military’s media affairs wing.
According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the slain terrorists were involved in several acts of terror against security forces as well as innocent civilians.
The statement said that the martyred soldiers had been identified as 39-year-old Naik Muhammad Atiq from Chakwal district and 36-year-old Naik Rajab Ali from Attock, who fought bravely.
The ISPR added the sanitisation of the area was being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the vicinity.
"Pakistan's security forces are committed to eliminate the menace of terrorism, and such sacrifices by our brave soldiers only strengthen our resolve," the ISPR said.
