Nation shamed by attacks on military installations during PTI protests, says PBC
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) -Pakistan Bar Council strongly denounced the recent attacks on military installations that took place during the May 9 protests by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), emphasising the need for swift justice.
In a press release issued by the Pakistan Bar Council, it expressed its deep concern over the assaults on military installations and called for the perpetrators, including both the workers and terrorists involved, to be apprehended and brought to justice without delay.
The council stressed that imposing severe punishments would serve as a deterrent and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
It also demanded that those responsible for facilitating and instigating the attacks be held accountable and face strict action.
The Pakistan Bar Council's statement highlighted that the events of May 9 had brought shame to the entire nation.
Furthermore, the council extended its unwavering support to the Pakistan army in light of the incident. It urged all political parties to engage in dialogue and resolve their disputes through peaceful means in accordance with democratic traditions.
