Federal cabinet approves resignation of ETPB Chairman Habib-ur-Rehman Gilani

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In a recent development, the federal cabinet of Pakistan has accepted the resignation of Habib-ur-Rehman Gilani, the chairman of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB). This decision was taken during a cabinet meeting held on Friday in the capital city of Islamabad.

According to sources, Habib-ur-Rehman Gilani had submitted his resignation from the post of ETPB chairman, which was subsequently approved by the federal cabinet. It is worth noting that Gilani was appointed to this position during the last days of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government.

Following Gilani's resignation, the federal cabinet approved the appointment of Dr Syed Atta-ur-Rehman as the additional secretary in the ministry of religious affairs. Dr Syed Atta-ur-Rehman has also been given the additional charge of ETPB.

The ETPB is responsible for managing the properties and assets of minorities who migrated to Pakistan after the partition of the subcontinent in 1947.
