Assistant sub-inspector among 27 women policemen suspended

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad Police on Friday suspended 27 women police officers from duty on allegations of being absent from work without a valid reason. The suspended officers included an Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and others who were posted at various locations across the city.

Sources reported that AIG Establishment Captain Retired Zeeshan conducted an unexpected check on the duty points of women police officers. During the check, the officers on duty were unable to provide valid reasons for their colleagues' absence.

The suspended officers have been instructed to immediately close the police headquarters, and they are required to provide explanations for their absence from duty points.

This action was taken by the police department to ensure that officers are fulfilling their responsibilities, and that there is no compromise on the safety and security of the citizens of Islamabad.

The authorities encouraged police officers to remain dedicated to their work and to prioritise their duties towards the community they serve.
