Hammad Azhar expresses his concern over upcoming budget
Pakistan
Economy of Pakistan should be basic element of negotiations
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Former federal minister and leader of the Tehreek-e-Insaf party, Hammad Azhar, has said that our preference is that the current government does not present a budget.
Speaking on a Dunya News programme "Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath", Hammad Azhar said that we are concerned that the budget they present will be a political budget. The budget should be handed over to the caretaker government but they are adamant to table the budget, in that case it should get a nod from International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank (WB) and Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Hammad Azhar further said the outgoing government should present a responsible budget and the economy of Pakistan should also be a basic element of negotiations. If both sides sit down and make a free decision, it can yield better results. There is also a spoiler in the field trying to fail the negotiations.
