The e-registration scheme would reduce hurdles in registry's process
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Land Record Authority started the scheme of the property registry via the e-registration. In this regard, the land administration system would be developed along the modern lines by using new technology and advanced software update.
At first, new property registry scheme has been started from Lahore and Sahiwal and afterwards the process would be expanded to all districts. The training would be given to registrars and staffs for the property registry via e-registration portal.
The citizens would be able to get their challans online, fee required to be deposit in Bank of Punjab, online method to mention list of witnesses, statements that need to be recorded before sub-registrar and receiving copy of the registry after the authentication of biometric details.
Major benefits of online registry include protection of record of people, effective monitoring of staffs and reducing fraud in the process of registry.
