Qaiser reiterates call for snap polls
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser launched on Monday a broad attack on the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN), accusing it of mounting pressure on the judiciary.
The former National Assembly speaker said that his party was ready to accept every decision of the Supreme Court. Appreciating the role of the top court, Mr Qaiser said, "The Supreme Court has given a good opportunity to the political parties in trying to control the political conflict between each other."
Recalling the call for elections, Mr Qaiser said, "Only fresh elections can pull the country out of the quagmire."He said that we are serious about solving the problems according to the constitution.
On the other hand, PTI chairman Imran Khan said on Sunday that he was ready to negotiate with the incumbent government if it dissolves the assemblies and comes up with a "neutral" caretaker setup in May.

The ousted prime minister made his remarks during a private television interview and took a jibe at political opponents, saying, "The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) were asking me to dissolve the assemblies of Punjab and KP. But they started to escape elections after the assemblies were dissolved".
In a fresh attack on the government, he said, "These people are using delay tactics to avoid the Punjab Assembly elections on May 14. We will not let the PDM run away from the elections as we stand by the Supreme Court's decision.
"If PDM has any proposal, we will be ready to discuss it. If they are saying that the elections will be held in October, then even then they will make excuses. The government wants to trap us. It is better to suggest holding elections in June or July.
Taking a jibe at PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, Mr Khan claimed, "Nawaz Sharif was guaranteed to get rid of me and PTI. Making bogus cases and arresting the PTI leaders is part of London plan. Nawaz Sharif is a criminal who looted billions of rupees.
