Sukkur Express escapes major accident near Padidan

SUKKUR (Dunya News) – A Karachi-bound passenger train of the Pakistan Railways nearly escaped a disaster when two of its bogies collided near Padidan, a city in Naushahro Feroze district of Sindh.
According to details, the Sukkur Express was moving towards Karachi from Jacobabad when two of its bogies collided due to buffer breakdown. However the driver of train used his mind and skills and applied brakes to prevent the train derailment.
There is no report of any casualties in the mishap, said sources. According to Pakistan Railways spokesperson in Sindh, rescue teams had been dispatched to the spot.
