Imran laments 'establishment's inclination towards government'

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Friday said he regretted that the establishment had chosen to stand beside mafia politicians.
Addressing the party members via video link, he said they [the federal government] were destroying the country’s system to cover their theft. “They fear that I might come to power,” he added.
“They have one-point agenda of only keeping me out of power”, he said.
The former PM said they were planning a conspiracy against the Supreme Court (SC). “Members of the National Assembly are using foul language against SC judges,” he said.

Mr Khan claimed that they saved themselves Rs1100 billion by constituting amendments to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Ordinance. “They are afraid that their NROs [their tenure in power] might end,” he added. PM Shehbaz and his son, he said, were facing a corruption case amounting to Rs24 billion.
He said the PM got cases against him quashed as soon as he came to power adding that four witnesses in the case died. “FIA disposed of the cases against them and started victimising the PTI,” he added.

Shahbaz Gill was tortured naked and Azam Swati was booked over tweeting against former COAS Gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa. “Mr Swati was beaten in front of his grandchildren and PTI leaders were shown a film showing Mr Swati,” he added.
Mr Khan went on to say that police officers who meted torture on us on May 25 were reposted [after the incumbent government came to power]. “We approached the ECP against appointing 22 [biased] officers but the commission finalised their names,” he claimed.

ECP chief Sikandar Sultan Raja formed the Punjab caretaker government in connivance with PM Shehbaz, PDM chief Molana Fazlur Rehman, and others, he alleged.
The PTI chief said Punjab interim government committed human rights violations adding that it harmed them in every possible way. “Journalists were beaten,” he added. Who beat Arshad Sharif, he asked.
Mr Khan alluded that deceased PTI activist Ali Bilal alias Zille Shah’s autopsy report showed that he had suffered torture on 26 places of his body. “Punjab interim government blamed for Shah’s death [the PTI claims to be a murder],” he added.
He said the PTI’s popularity was on the rise adding that they [federal government] conspired to murder me on accusations of religious extremism. “Elections are the only way out,” he added.
