Action taken against those involved, says administration

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) caretaker government on Friday released a report delineating that three persons died and four suffered injuries in pursuit of free flour, a program launched by the federal government to help the poor in the holy month of Ramadan.

The documents revealed that citizens looted 4000 flour bags in five different parts of the province adding that casualties and injuries took place in a week. Details showed that people looted 835 bags Thana area of Malakand, 360 bags in Peshawar, and five trucks carrying 2244 flour bags in Dera Ismail Khan.

On the other hand, men and women took advantage of the ruckus in Hazar Khawani and looted 600 bags. The administration said that action had been taken against the persons involved in the stampede.
