KARACHI (Dunya News) - Tragedy struck on Friday as 11 people, including three children and women, lost their lives in a stampede that occurred during the distribution of ration and zakat in a factory located in the site area of Karachi. The incident left many women unconscious.

Rescue officials confirmed that the deceased and injured were transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

The situation was brought under control by the police who were called in by the factory management due to the large number of people present.

SSP Kemari stated that the situation was brought under control and the police were investigating the incident to determine the cause of the stampede.

According to rescue sources, the distribution of ration was underway in the factory located in Norris Chowrangi site area when the tragedy occurred. A large number of people, including women, had gathered for the distribution of ration.
