Regulation of suo motu matter was urgently needed, says Naveed Qamar

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Trade Syed Naveed Qamar on Tuesday said that there was a strong need to regulate the matter related to suo motu notice authority.
In an informal session with journalists, the minister emphasized the importance of establishing a right to appeal against decisions made in suo motu cases.

Mr Qamar highlighted the need for greater clarity and control over the Supreme Court's authority under section 184(3).
The bench making authority in suo motu notice cases would now be given to a committee of senior judges.
The minister stressed that such regulation was necessary to ensure that the system was fair and just for all parties involved.
