PML-N, PPP close ranks for Azad Kashmir local government elections
MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Monday reached an agreement over alliance for the upcoming local government elections in Azad Kashmir.
From the PML-N’s camp, formers ministers Barrister Iftikhar Gillani and Docter Mustafa Bashir participated while Javed Ayub and Bazil Naqvi were present from the PPP’s side for the conclusion of agreement. The agreement reached over the possible chairman, deputy chairman, mayor, deputy mayor and labor councillor.
Per the agreement, the chairman district council will be from the PPP, while PML-N will appoint its vice-chairman. Also, the mayor for the municipal corporation and labour councillor will be from the PML-N while the PPP will give the name of the deputy mayor.
