ETPB seeks administration's help to vacate Lal Haveli
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) on Thursday sought help of the district administration to vacate the political center of Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and Rawalpindi’s historic Lal Haveli.
In this regard, ETPB penned a letter to the Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner to provide police assistance in a bid to recover possession.
While Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and his brother Sheikh Rashid Shafiq have decided to show full resistance against any action. “I am the owner of the Lal Haveli. This is not the property of anyone else,” Sheikh Rashid said.
Rashid Shafiq said he had directed the party workers to reach Lal Haveli.
