Advocate General Punjab Ahmad Awais removed from his post

Advocate General Punjab Ahmad Awais has been removed from his post on Tuesday.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Advocate General Punjab Ahmad Awais has been removed from his post on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.

A notification to the effect has been issued after the approval from caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi. 

At least 97 law officers of the Advocate General s Office have also been relieved of their posts. According to the notification, 32 additional advocate generals and 65 assistant advocate generals have been removed from their posts. 

Sources said Additional Advocate General Chaudhry Jawad Yaqoob had been instructed to look after the administrative affairs of the office of the AGP. The new caretaker government of Punjab has also appointed 20 new additional advocate generals and 35 assistant advocate generals.
