Govt claims electricity’s restoration by 10pm amid massive power outage
ISLAMBAD (Dunya News) –In the midst of unusual power breakdown that had gripped the country on Monday, Minister for Energy Khurram Dastgir said the teams were working diligently for the restoration of technical fault and error would be repaired by 10pm.
Speaking to media in Islamabad, the minister said due to error in the north-south system of electricity, the distribution was affected and unusual variation in the voltage frequency made matters worse.
He added the prime minister had formulated a three-member committee that would present a detailed report on the sudden absence of electricity and claimed the electricity would be restored in the country till night.
