LHC approves Shahbaz Gill's protective plea
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered Federal Investigation Bureau (FIA) on Thursday not to arrest Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill.
The PTI leader requested LHC for protection as he fears that FIA will arrest him during his Islamabad visit. Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh ordered him to appear immediately before the court and approved a protective bail till January 24 with a surety bond of Rs50,000. The court also demanded copies of relevant registered cases.
The Justice remarked that Shahbaz Gill could reach out to the court till January 24.
It is pertinent to mention that Shahbaz Gill faced trials in defamation cases against the national institutes, and Sindh High Court (SHC) also secured him from arrest.
The court issued a notice to Inspector General Police (IGP) and others in this regard for 12th January.
