ISLAMABAD ( Dunya News ) – Minister of State on Poverty Alleviation Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday said Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto was able to present the case of Pakistan successfully at the Geneva conference and due to this reason it was fruitful event for Pakistan.

He said the previous government had closed the Benazir Income Support Programme ( BISP ) cards of almost 800,000 people without any reason and promised to reopen the cards of the affected.

While doing presser, the PPP stalwart said the country got historical success at the Geneva conference and almost $9 billion had been pledged in terms of aid.

He added the country thanked the financial institutions and friendly nations for the support and there was need to pay homage to the Bilawal Bhutto and his team. The minister said steps were being taken to tackle the harmful effects of climate change.
