Terrorists used thermal weapon sights in KP, reveals KP IG
PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Moazzam Jan Ansari on Tuesday revealed that terrorists employed thermal weapon sights (TWS) for conducting some terrorist activities in Mardan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, and Tank.
The IGP said the technology could have been brought in from Afghanistan as Northern Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) forces might have left these weapons before departing Afghanistan. “We’ll provide KP police with the TWS [to counter terrorists] this week”, he added.
