Not four full-bullets but pieces and shards hit Imran: Forensic report
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A forensic report released by Punjab government revealed on Monday that four full-bullets did not hit Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan but three pieces of bullets and a metal shard.
Ex-medical superintendent Dr. Gulzar Ahmad while speaking to TV said the report did not mention full-bullets but traces. “A total of 14 bullets were fired, 12 of which were fired from the accused Naveed’s 30-bore pistol and two from another SMG rifle”, he added.
One of the bullets, he said, allegedly hit Moazzam from back while the remaining hit others. “The report elicits that no sniper was hired and bullets were not discharged from three sides”, he added.
PML-N Senator Massadik Masood Malik while reacting to the report said Mr Imran was continuously lying as he deliberately increased the number of bullets fired at him. “No one should be shot at in political gatherings, and firing at Maryam Nawaz including others is condemnable”, he added.
Advisor to Punjab CM Umar Cheema said Mr Imran’s security guard was not involved in the incident adding propaganda was being spread on social media regarding the matter. “It is an established fact that there were three shooters”, he added.
Reacting to Musaddik Malik’s remarks, he said he was not aware which report Mr Malik was citing adding we must wait until the JIT submitted its report. “Your report is not final”, he added.
