Atta Tarar accuses Imran Khan of money laundering through diamonds

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Punjab Government Spokesperson Attaullah Tarar on Sunday said that Imran Khan gave amnesty to his people. Diamonds worth millions of rupees were sent to Dubai from Pakistan where they were sold off. Money laundering of millions of rupees was done through diamonds.

In a press conference with PML-N leader Azma Bukhari, Ata Tarar also accused PTI leadership of taking money for appointing officers in Punjab. He further pointed out that Imran Khan has no source of income. No one can tell how he makes a living.

Ata Tarar said that in the past, the CM Secretariat was made a source of making money. 320 million rupees were granted in the amnesty scheme.

“The country’s economy was going down but they kept building assets,” he said.

Carrying on with the criticism he added that everything is clear in the alleged leaked audio call about diamonds.

“The matter is not confined to the diamond dealings but soon, information about the selling of expensive paintings and watches will come to the fore too,” he said.

The PML-N leader Azma Bukhari termed the alleged leaked audio call as the ‘trailer’ of the corruption movie. Further talking about it she said that the PTI Chairman had hired two frontwomen to carry out his corrupt activities.

The PML-N leader questioned that which corruption was concealed by asking for rings worth millions of rupees. She exclaimed that whichever file you open in Punjab, stories of PTI’s corruption come to light. Imran Khan’s Toshakhana case is also before the public.

People’s charitable money was also consumed by the one who called others thieves, she added.
