Torrential rains affect thousands in Badin, Thatta

People were forced to take refuge in relief camps as rains devastated Badin and Thatta districts.

According to Badin administration, at least half a million people are affected due to heavy rains in the area. The administration have established 58 relief camps for the affected people but only 7,000 people have been sifted to these camps so far.It is important to mention here that condition of some of these relief camps is such that several people were injured due to roof collapse in the camps.Meanwhile, thousands of people are still trapped in affected areas and no arrangement was made by the authorities to provide food and drinking water or evacuate them from the area.
