Dense fog disrupts rail, road, air traffic in parts of Punjab

Fog has paralyzed routine life in several Punjab cities and disrupted rail, road and air traffic.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Dense fog again blanketed different cities of Punjab, including Lahore and Faisalabad on night between Thursday and Friday, paralysing routine life and disrupting road and air traffic, Dunya News reported.
The flight operation at the Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore and Faisalabad Airport was disrupted as the visibility dropped below 50 metres and several incoming or outgoing flights were either delayed or cancelled.
Dense fog has also affected railways schedule in most cities of Punjab and departure of several trains was delayed.
The thick fog has badly affected the flow of road traffic in several cities of Punjab. According to a Motorway spokesman, Motorway M2, Motorway M3, Motorway M4 have been closed at several places for all kind of traffic due to thick fog.
The Motorway police have appealed the drivers to use GT Road for travelling. They have also urged the drivers to drive slowly and switch on fog lights. The people have been requested to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling.
