Pakistan reports 3,480 coronavirus cases, 82 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan has so far conducted 18,347,597 coronavirus tests.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 82 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,201,367. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 26,662 on Saturday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 3,480 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 12,198 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 7,116 in Sindh 5,225 in KP, 886 in Islamabad, 716 in Azad Kashmir, 342 in Balochistan, and 179 in GB.

Furthermore 443,521 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 411,808 in Punjab 167,782 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 102,347 in Islamabad, 33,210 in Azad Kashmir, 32,549 in Balochistan and 10,150 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 18,347,597 coronavirus tests and 61,128 in the last 24 hours. 1,082,988 patients have recovered in the country whereas 5,362 patients are in critical condition.
