Islamabad hotels to host foreigners being evacuated from Afghanistan
Thousands of foreigners being evacuated from Afghanistan will start reaching Islamabad from today.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The local administration in Islamabad has asked all the hotels in the federal capital to halt the booking for the next 21 days to accommodate the foreigners being evacuated from Afghanistan, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
In view of current situation across the border, thousands of people are evacuating from Afghanistan and passengers from transition flights are staying in Islamabad. In order to facilitate the passengers, it is requested that reservations in all hotels of Islamabad may be closed from today (Friday) onwards for next 21 days.
According to the notification issued in this regard by the district administration of Islamabad, due to the rapid withdrawal of foreigners from Afghanistan, a large number of foreigners will start arriving in Pakistan from today, whose stay is being arranged on an emergency basis.
In this regard, it has been decided to close all the hotels in the federal capital for the general public for the next 21 days. All hotels will be at the disposal of the city administration for the accommodation of Afghans until further notice.
According to sources, from today (Friday) thousands of foreigners will start reaching Islamabad from Kabul. The foreigners evacuated from Afghanistan will be accommodated in these hotels.
