Now downfall of Firdous Ashiq Awan has begun, says Azma Bokhari
Even Firdous own people had changed their attitude towards her after lost of lucrative post
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Sarcastically commenting on today’s matter of former CM’s special assistant on information Firdous Ashiq Awan, PML-N MPA Azma Zahid Bokhari said that now the downfall of Firdous Awan has been started.
The reaction of the PML-N leader came after Firdous Ashiq Awan barred to enter in the Punjab Assembly today.
Azma Bukhari said that after she had lost the lucrative post of SACM, even her own people had changed their attitude towards her. “But trust me Baji (Firdous Awan) wouldn’t mind it,” Bukhari said.
“Respect is not that important, one must have a lucrative post,” She also said sarcastically.
Expressing regret, the PML-N leader further said that she intended to take a farewell selfie with Firdous Awan today.
Earlier in the day, Firdous had been barred from entering Punjab Assembly. The former SACM arrived at the assembly to attend the oath taking ceremony of Ahsan Saleem Baryar but was shocked to know that she was not on the list.
Firdous Ashiq Awan, who resigned as SACM on information on Friday, less than a year after being appointed to the position, said that she was on the list of guests but her name was removed later.
It merits mention that the ruling PTI clinched the PP-38, Sialkot IV, seat by defeating PML-N in what turned out to be a major upset. PTI candidate Chaudhry Ahsan Saleem Baryar got 60,588 votes whereas PML-N’s Chaudhry Tariq Akhtar was polled 53,571 votes.
