Court orders to register case against Balochistan CM and former SSP operation
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Accepting the opposition’s plea, a court in Quetta has ordered to register a case against Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal.
Afzal Kakar, additional district and sessions Judge in Quetta, directed SHO Bijli Road Police Station to register a case against CM Jam Kamal and former SSP Operation of Quetta Ahmed Mohiuddin under "22-A Cr.P.C”.
The opposition members alleged that lawmaker Abdul Wahid Siddiqui had been injured by the police s armoured vehicle during the budget session of Balochistan Assembly on June 18.
On June 18, torn shirts, mics yanked, chairs broken bore raw testimony to the high drama and bedlam that played out outside the Balochistan assembly ahead of the budget 2021-22 session of the province.
Speaker Balochistan Assembly Abdul Qaddos Bizenjo was also not allowed to enter the assembly by angry workers and after being disappointed, he returned back.
The security forces managed to stop the angry mob after the workers of the opposition parties tried enter the assembly. Heavy contingent of police was then called in to counter the tense situation.
The law-enforcement agencies baton charged the mob to control the situation. The opposition lawmakers had also locked all doors of the Balochistan Assembly to prevent the budget session from taking place.
