Police made monumental sacrifices in line of duty over the years: COAS
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday has presented a salute to the martyrs of Pakistan Police on Police Martyrs Day.
In a message on social-networking website Twitter, the army chief stated, “Pakistan Police have made monumental sacrifices in the line of duty over the years, contributing immensely in bringing peace and stability to the country.”

On the other hand, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had also paid tribute to policemen who have sacrificed their lives for the safety of Pakistan.
In a statement in connection with Police Martyrs Day, the PPP leader said that police have played an historical role in combating terrorism and coronavirus.
The police department is performing commendable duties despite limited resources, he added.
It is to be mentioned here that Police Martyrs Day (Youm-e-Shuhada) is being observed across the country as ceremonies are being held in various cities including Lahore and Karachi.
