Alleged involvement of govt officials in sale of COVID vaccine revealed
A director and an employee of a health services company were included in the accused
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The sale of COVID vaccine, through alleged involvement of government officials, has been revealed in Karachi.
According to the details garnered, the accused sold vaccine in exchange of Rs15,000. Karachi South Zone Police conducted a raid and held two accused from Defence. The accused administered vaccine door to door within the metropolis.
According to the police, a director and an employee of a health services company were included in the accused. The accused took Rs15,000 per dose of vaccine.
The police also stated that the accused were selling Sinopharm vaccine at Rs7,660 and Sinovac vaccine at Rs4,500 per dose. It added that the accused were in contacts with the Health Department officials and they confessed for administering vaccines more than 60 people.
Police have registered a case against the accused and launched an investigation.
