Pakistan reports 663 coronavirus cases, 27 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan has so far conducted 14,187,441 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 27 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 949,838. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 22,034 on Tuesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 663 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,659 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,344 in Sindh, 4,274 in KP, 775 in Islamabad, 573 in Azad Kashmir, 301 in Balochistan, and 108 in GB.

Furthermore 345,141 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 332,677 in Sindh, 137,147 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,394 in Islamabad, 26,673 in Balochistan, 19,979 in Azad Kashmir and 5,827 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 14,187,441 coronavirus tests and 39,017 in the last 24 hours. 894,352 patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,179 patients are in critical condition.
