No system can move forward without punishment and reward: CM Usman Buzdar
"Punjab govt brought long-lasting reforms in its jail system."
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar said Saturday that no system can move forward without punishment and reward.
Usman Buzdar said in his statement that the Punjab government brought long-lasting reforms in the jail system so that the basic rights of the inmates could be protected.
Chief Secretary Jawad Rafique Malik and Additional Chief Secretary for Interior Momin Agha called on CM Punjab Usman Buzdar on Saturday. Usman Buzdar applauded the reforms brought in the Department of Prisons as well as the performance of the Punjab interior department.
On this ocassion, Punjab CM said that the Punjab interior department was given full freedom to perform its duties efficiently.
He further said that multi-storey barracks were being constructed in seven jails of the Punjab that will accommodate 10,000 inmates.
